Excerpt From Marine's Speech Proves Little Has Changed In 80 Years - Business Insider

My response to this link in the article above:

Will Rogers held to the same beliefs about war at about the same time and was the most popular of Americans. I believe this soldier was likely influenced by Rogers, who blasted the speculation of the banksters of his time.

It is interesting to note that the neocons who are responsible for all the wars we are in except perhaps for Libya, are not represented in the joint chiefs of staff as of now. Obama has put slow to war generals in charge. That is one good thing he has done for our nation that would not be done by the Republicans, who are controlled by the neocons.

Two points that are clear. First, he believed that the bankers were fascists, not communists. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/02/27/95580/-The-Real-Plot-to-Overthrow-FDR-s-America

Second, knowing how Cheney was relentless in his attacks on Obama, his increased surveillance has to do with stopping any possible coup by the neocons. I don't question for a moment their capacity to try to pull one off. They want war with Iran and a missile shield to provoke Russia.
Keep in mind that the John Birch Society, formed later in the 50's, hated communism to the point that everything that was wrong was blamed on the communists. Well, as we see, the cofounder of the John Birch Society was the father of the Koch Brothers.
The Koch Brothers, with the help of Glenn Beck, have used the Tea Party to make the case that bankers are communists, not fascists. But that is historically incorrect as we see from the Daily Kos article quoting Gerald MacGuire, one of the conspirators to overthrow FDR:

"We need a fascist government in this country... to save the nation from the communists who want to tear it down and wreck all that we have built in America. The only men who have the patriotism to do it are the soldiers, and Smedley Butler is the ideal leader. He could organize a million men overnight.
Turns out Smedley Butler refused to do the will of the conspirators. But the point is that the bankers considered themselves fascists, and MacGuire had just returned from Italy where he desired to copy the Italian fascist regime in an effort to stop communism, which he thought was happening through FDR. Overthowing FDR and melding with Hitler and Mussolini would have been a dreadful turn of events. Smedley Butler was a hero for stopping this fascist plot by big finance.

My concern is that the neocons are capable of doing this sort of thing today. Not saying they are, but they need to be watched. And that is for the preservation of democracy.
